Sportlifestyle Brand Makes Inaugural Appearance at the World’s Largest Golf Showcase
Westford, Massachusetts, January 20, 2006 — For the first time, PUMA® will be exhibiting at the 2006 Professional Golf Association (PGA) Merchandise Show in Orlando on January 26-29 at the Orange County Convention Center. The global athletic brand will showcase their 2006 performance and lifestyle golf collections of apparel, footwear and accessories in meeting room 230 A.
"PUMA Golf is thrilled to be making our first appearance at the PGA Merchandise Show," said Bob Philion, PUMA Golf Business Unit Manager. "We’re excited to show the golf community our interpretation of golf: stylish, fun, colorful and for everyone. PUMA Golf is the blend of sports and lifestyle that we feel is missing from the game."
The PUMA Golf collection will launch at retailers nationwide in March 2006. Geared towards a young, modern golfer, the collection features a bold color palette, sleek silhouettes, eye-catching styles and unconventional graphics and patterns for the golf world. Recognizing that the product must speak to the performance needs of a golfer, PUMA blends progressive design, high quality fabric and technology in all their performance pieces such as the PG GTX or the Performance Mock Tee. At the same time, the performance collection has a strong lifestyle appeal due to the brand’s signature styling and use of bold, unique colors.
PUMA will participate in the daily fashion shows on the main stage and will also host several PUMA fashion presentations in their meeting room, 230 A. In addition, PUMA will be conducting a brief press conference on Friday, January 27th at 9:00 am in room 312 A to unveil their latest partnership with a professional female golfer and host an autograph signing with her in their meeting room at 3:00 pm that day.
