GLENVIEW, Ill. (Jan. 30, 2006) – Crown Golf Properties, the Chicago, Ill.-based golf course management company, announced that an agreement has been reached with Westchase Golf Club in Tampa, Fla., to manage the community’s golf operations.
Westchase will be the eighth Crown Golf-managed course in Florida. Winnetka, Ill.-based Sano Corporation closed on the Westchase purchase last month and brought in Crown Golf Properties to manage all golf facilities.
Sano President Nick Neubauer and Crown Golf Properties President Dave Fairman stated that joining forces would benefit Westchase in many ways. "Crown Golf’s extensive experience and ability to leverage resources for the golf and restaurant components will significantly complement our management and residential real estate resources," said Neubauer.
Crown Golf will provide complete facilities management for both the golf club and the restaurant, and will implement strategic marketing plans for both. Marketing tools will include the CrownClub membership and rewards program, a highly successful loyalty and membership program at five of the company’s Florida courses.
Westchase Golf Club features a par-72, 18-hole championship golf course designed by Lloyd Clifton, an elegant 9,500-square-foot clubhouse, a GPS system on each cart, an aqua driving range, a practice green, a well-stocked golf shop and a full service restaurant.
Westchase offers a country club atmosphere and first-class service, earning the club a reputation as one of the finest daily fee courses in the Tampa Bay area. With four sets of tees, the course plays 6,699 yards from the tips and gives players through a challenging round of golf through acres of lakes, woods and scenic conservation areas.
"The whole staff at Westchase is excited to be associated with Crown Golf Properties. Crown shares with us a continued commitment to providing each guest with an excellent golf experience each time they visit Westchase,"
said Westchase General Manager Clay Thomas. "Additionally, we are pleased to be a part of a such a strong group of golf clubs in the Tampa area."
