LEAWOOD, KANSAS (February 2, 2006) – The traffic was hot and the demand for product even hotter for Accu-Length at the recently concluded 2006 PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, where the company’s revolutionary, expandable junior golf clubs and associated products enjoyed record sales in just its second year of existence.
Accu-Length, whose one-of-a-kind spacer system lets a child grow with his or her golf clubs, flourished at the show as retailers across the country continued to see the unequaled playability factors and financial savings associated with Accu-Length. The charge was led by the introduction of the new Accu-Length Junior Golf Glove and further fueled by a new line of golf clubs, featuring Accu-Length’s new 250cc driver.
"We enjoyed an outstanding show that was better than anything we ever could have expected," says Rick Rutter, President, COO and Founder of OnTrack Sports, LLC, makers of Accu-Length, the only Expandable Junior Golf Clubs. "Our growth continues to accelerate at a rapid pace. Everything is just onward and upward."
Accu-Length’s success at the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show capped a fantastic first year for the company that actually started gaining momentum at last year’s Merchandise Show, where Accu-Length’s junior golf clubs were named Best New Equipment Product. Things only got better from there during the remainder of 2005. Accu-Length was named a Top Holiday Pick by Sports Illustrated For Kids magazine. Numerous parenting and golf publications agreed with Sports Illustrated”s assessment and also named Accu-Length a top pick for the Holiday season.
The Golf Warehouse, the largest Internet golf retailer in the United States, Golfsmith and Golf USA, as well as several other retailer chains currently placing orders, lead the list of new retail accounts selling Accu-Length products that will spur Accu-Length sales even higher.
Accu-Length has also continued its international growth by signing a distributor agreement that covers Norway and all Scandinavian countries, as well as other distributor agreements are coming together in Korea, China, Japan and Germany to name a few.
"Consumers and retailers have come to realize that Accu-Length junior clubs create superb financial savings year in and year out because the clubs grow right along with the users. You don’t have to buy a new set every time a youngster has a growth spurt," says Rutter. "Dollar-for-dollar and product-for-product, Accu-Length is the best golf equipment for young golfers in the marketplace today." And even more importantly, our clubs provide a custom fit length for each child, and that fit is really helping juniors lower their scores and learn the game more easily". We all know that better play is what keeps us interested in the game"
The ball kept rolling for Accu-Length at the 2006 Merchandise Show. The Junior Golf Glove, which is made from a combination of fine Cabretta leather and strategically-placed synthetics, found the right fit with buyers. They not only liked the special enhancements designed for a junior golfer’s hand, but also the $10 retail coupon good towards the purchase of any of Accu-Length’s four starter sets that came with the glove.
Accu-Length’s new 250cc driver also garnered plenty of attention. The driver’s stainless steel head and large sweet spot, combined with a 14-degree loft and longer driving characteristics makes it perfect for any up-and-coming junior golfer wanting to turn the game into a lifetime sport. The driver, which is available in Accu-Length’s top selling lengths for golfers 51 to 59 inches tall and 55 to 62 inches tall, has the same custom fit and expandable shaft technology that’s the trademark of all Accu-Length shafts. It’s available in both right-hand and left-hand models and is sold separately from Accu-Lengths boxed starter sets.
Accu-Length’s new SS stainless steel putters, which come in an easy-to-use mallet style that’s perfect for junior golfers, was short on height but long on attention at the Show. It’s available in all of the company’s four sets, including the AL500 Series for children 39 to 47 inches tall and the AL1000 Series for juniors 45 to 55 inches tall. Finally, Accu-Length’s new left-handed starter sets, specifically designed for southpaws who encounter they problems they often have of finding clubs, was anything but left out of the retail booth blitz. In addition to the starter sets, the left-handed clubs are available in an individual 14 degree driver and individual 5-irons with lofts of 28 and 30 degrees.
Accu-Length is the only expandable junior golf club on the market. A one-of-a-kind spacer system allows Accu-Length to grow with the junior golfer without any sacrifice to the product’s quality. Accu-Length’s product line is known for its professional quality, with stainless steel heads and filament wound graphite shafts.
