Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute completed its inaugural True Temper® "Gold Certified" School at its classroom at Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando, Florida, February 1, 2006. This school immediately followed the PGA Merchandise Show. Twelve industry experts are now certified Black Gold® shaft fitting specialist.
The new True Temper "Gold Certified" Shaft Performance Fitting School offers an all-encompassing education on the manufacturing and testing philosophy of the "gold" family of shafts. Emphasis is placed on learning the intricacies of frequency-tuning the new Black Gold® shaft and building clubs with standard, mid, and variable tip flexes for varying launch trajectories. Hard and soft stepping is taught to create different flex variations.
