Variable headweight adds versatility
Infiniti Golf has continued the hallmark of innovation and performance with the introduction of the XS series of fairway, utility and hybrid woods. The three models are the Propulsion XS fairway wood, the Hot Shot XS utility wood and the Assure XS Hybrid. All three models feature a replaceable headweight screw located directly behind the impact zone.
XS stands for Exchangeable Swingweight. Three screws of Aluminum, steel and tungsten can be exchanged to create differing headweghts allowing longer or shorter clubs and allowing players to literally dial-in feel and control.
The shortest distance from fairway to green can be provided by the ProPulsion XS. It is a fairway wood produced with a sleek, low-profile design. The topline look is traditional fairway wood, but the weight has been moved directly behind the impact area. Maraging steel process produces an extremely hard face. The Propulsion XS comes in 14 and 17 degree models in right hand.
The HotShot XS is easy to hit, accurate and long. The utility wood’s heel to toe measurement has been increased which expands the hitting area. The profile has been lowered and with the XS weight system, the weight is no directly behind the impact zone. The Hot Shot XS is available in lofts of 18, 22 and 26 degrees in right hand models.
The Assure XS hybrid provides the best of both worlds – accuracy and forgiveness. This striking-looking hybrid has the face of an iron for accuracy along with the power and forgiveness of a metal wood. The XS weight system places the mass in line with the impact zone and transfers explosive energy directly to the golf ball. The design of the extra wide sole combined with a longer face gets the ball airborne resulting in higher, softer shots to the green. The Assure XS Hybrid is available in right hand models with lofts of 20 and 24 degrees
MSRP for the ProPulsion XS, HotShot XS and Assure XS hybrid is $119/each. Availability of the new models to the public is expected in early March, 2006.
