Management Team Now Set for Planned Growth
SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – Datrek Miller International, Inc. (DMI), a leading supplier of products and value-added services to the golf industry, (OTC Bulletin Board: DMLL.OB) has promoted Max Waits to executive vice president and chief operating officer effective immediately. Waits had served as COO and interim chief financial officer for the past four months.
"Over this past year, Max has done a tremendous job of providing leadership in multiple roles while we sought to fill the position of chief financial officer. Now that we have that person in place, he will be totally focused on our operations and serve in a vital role on our executive management team," said Mike Hedge, president and chief executive officer.
Combined with the recent addition of Randy Frapart as executive vice president and CFO, the promotion of Waits now completes DMI’s executive management team which also consists of Hedge. This group, all of whom came to DMI from outside the golf industry, will leverage their individual and joint expertise to create and implement an aggressive growth strategy.
"The senior management team is loaded with golf industry veterans as well," said Hedge. DMI is focused on a channel distribution strategy and each channel is led by someone with at least 15 years of golf industry experience.
This group includes:
Dennis Ryan – Off Course Division President – 25 years of golf experience;
Harry Murley – On Course Division Vice President – 18 years of golf experience; and
Dave Triptow Jr. – Premium/International Division Vice President – 15 years of golf experience.
According to Hedge, the management structure is part of a larger strategic plan to uniquely position DMI for tremendous growth. "With this leadership team in place, DMI will continue to expand our channels of distribution and the mix of products we are able to bring to market" stated Hedge.
