Woven Appliqué Label and Rappliqués
New Bedford, MA, February 2006. . . . Ahead, a leader in branded headwear and apparel, is making new strides in the ornamentation for headwear and apparel with the continued introduction of the Woven Appliqué Labels and the new Rappliqué. Both appliqué labels provide unparallel detail to a logo, something that is difficult with traditional embroidery.

The biggest advantage to creating the woven and rubber appliqué labels is the process that allows Ahead to take graphics with fine detail and small lettering, previously difficult to reproduce with traditional embroidery techniques, and easily render them into the woven and rubber appliqué labels.
The Woven Appliqué Label can be sewn into caps or garments as a stand alone graphic or can be incorporated into a wide array of new embroidered designs that have been created for the this program. The woven appliqué will be offered on headgear and men’s apparel, outerwear and the Kate Lordâ?¢ Collection. There are eight different colorways of each logo design so the label can compliment the entire line.
The Rappliqué is a great ornamentation technique that adds a contemporary and athletic look to any garment, and it looks especially good on caps and outerwear. Rappliqués are also available in eight colorways to compliment the entire Ahead line.
The new Ahead website, launching next month, will offer customers the ability to check their inventoried supply of course labels to help in their ordering process.
