DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 7, 2006 — Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Commissioner Carolyn F. Bivens has named Liz Ausman to the newly created position of chief strategic officer, effective immediately.
"I am pleased to welcome Liz to the LPGA staff," said Bivens. "Liz’s expertise in strategic planning and financial modeling will play an important role in the LPGA’s future as we capitalize on the great momentum surrounding the LPGA."
As chief strategic officer, Ausman will be responsible for leading the LPGA’s corporate strategic planning, with a focus on key growth areas of the business.

Ausman brings more than 15 years of strategic planning experience to the LPGA. Her background includes positions as executive vice president/director of corporate business development for Initiative Media Worldwide, a leading global media planning and buying company, and senior vice president/director of corporate strategy and development for Campbell Ewald Advertising, the agency of record for Chevrolet. Ausman also has a strong background in media technology. From 1991-98, she served as vice president of strategic planning and marketing for Producers Color Service, Inc., a diversified media company that included a state of the art video production and post-production facility, motion picture laboratory, high-speed videocassette duplication and fulfillment center, and an optical disc manufacturing division.
Ausman graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in History of Art. She received her master’s degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and was a Research Assistant in the Movies of the Future Program at the MIT Media Laboratory.
