On the PGA European Tour…at the Johnnie Walker Classic…Cleveland Tour staffer Kevin Stadler eagled the final hole at the Vines Resort and Country Club, in Perth, Australia, for a 3rd consecutive day to clinch the biggest professional victory of his young career. The 26 year old, who is the son of the former Masters Champion, Craig, hit a superb three iron from 220 yards to 12 inches for a tap-in eagle-three to claim the title with a 20 under par total of 268. With his final round of 69, Stadler became the newest champion on the European Tour but he also had to admit that he was more than a little confused about his future plans. The victory, which gave him a full exemption on the European Tour, left him with some uncertainty as to whether he should continue with his plans to play a full schedule on the Nationwide Tour. "I had planned to play a full schedule on the Nationwide Tour but I know there are plenty of spots that I would just love to go and see on the European Tour", said Stadler. His current plans are to remain in Australia to compete at next week’s Nationwide Tour event but as for anything after that he remained crystal clear…"I have no idea what the future is going to hold!" Kevin Stadler uses TA3 irons (2-9), a 588 PW (49º), a 588 SW (54º) and a CG11 LW (60º).
On the PGA TOUR…at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am…FIDRA Tour staffer Arron Oberholser recorded his first career victory on the PGA TOUR wearing FIDRA apparel. Oberholser is just one of a growing number of PGA TOUR players joining the FIDRA team. Other notable FIDRA Tour staffers include the likes of Jerry Kelly, Joe Durant and Harrison Frazar.
