Kiawah Island Golf Resort offers guests the ultimate in game improvement with their new "Total Performance Golf Package"

Kiawah Island, SC (Monday, February 13, 2006) – Kiawah Island Golf Resort today announced its new intensive golf-instruction program, the "Total Performance Golf Package" designed to improve all aspects of a player’s game.
"PGA Tour professionals are taking their games to the next level by combining swing mechanics instruction and scientifically fitted equipment with strength and conditioning training and sports massage," explained Steve Mitchell, director of the Kiawah Island Golf Academy. "Our new ‘Total Performance Golf Package’ offer our guests a program similar to what touring professionals use. Not only does this package treat our guests like touring pros while here at Kiawah, it will set golfers of all levels on a lifelong track to better golf."
The Total Performance Golf Package includes:

  • Model Golf instruction at the Golf Learning Center-a 90 minute private golf lesson with Kiawah Island Golf Academy Director, Steve Mitchell. This includes a Personal Improvement Program on Modelgolf.com that allows participants unlimited video uploads for one year and a unique package of information that allows continued improvement.
  • Club Fitting at the Golf Learning Center- maximizes the equipment’s benefit to each player’s game. Club fitting systems include woods and irons from Titleist, Callaway Golf, Cobra, Nike, & Cleveland Golf.
  • A Golf Specific Personal Training Session- focusing on rotational movements and core strengthening to help players prepare for a day on the links. The program includes warm up stretches and important stabilization exercises aimed at preventing injury and lowering scores.
  • Sports Massage in the Sanctuary Luxury Spa- an invigorating athletic massage using rhythmic strokes to stimulate muscles, aid in flexibility and flush metabolic waste from the tissues. Hot towels are applied to sore muscles throughout the service.
  • 2 rounds of golf on any of the resort’s 5 championship including one on The Ocean Course
  • 2 night stay at The Sanctuary with breakfast each morning
    Price this spring is $1,526 for the two-day package ($2,332 for two people in one room for this two-night package). Single night pricing available as are additional night stays.
