EL SEGUNDO, CA (Feb. 8, 2006) — TOTAL GOLF ADVENTURES (TGA), a national Golf Program and the only at-school, after school, golf enrichment program in the country announced today the company has signed two more licensed territories – Fresno, CA and Spokane, WA – to be owned and run by Janna Rigby and Mike Garcia, respectively.
"Janna and Mike’s extensive youth golf and education experience are a great asset to TGA," said Joshua Jacobs, President and CEO of TGA. "Together, they help carry out our mission to grow junior golf as we expand into new markets."
Janna Rigby, owner of TGA of the Central Valley (Fresno), has been a High School English teacher and assistant golf coach for 16 years. "The excitement is tangible here in the valley for TGA programming and junior golf," said Janna Rigby. "The districts are eager to see it grow!"
Mike Garcia, PGA Professional and owner of TGA of the Inland Northwest (Spokane, WA) won a National Championship and was a First Team All American while in college. "TGA has taken junior golf to a whole new level," Mike Garcia said, "TGA is the innovator of after school golf programming that is convenient for both children and their families, and allows golf to be practiced and played during any season of the year." Mike was the Director of Instruction for TGA of the Valley in Scottsdale, Arizona and is moving up to the Spokane Area to start TGA and to be with his wife and her family.
TGA’s program, available for children in grades K-8, extends beyond learning the game of golf and honing the golf swing. A child’s passion for the game of golf grows with a program that expands and improves their motor skills and coordination, encourages their advancement, and builds their confidence and self-esteem through a three level program designed to transition students from the school to the golf course.
