MARLBOROUGH, Mass. February 21, 2006 – Again the tournament was in the balance on the final hole. And again, for a record-setting third consecutive week on the Champions Tour, the same winner chose the same spike – the Stinger® by CHAMP.
Across the country, the PGA TOUR event came down to a back nine shootout and results were consistent – another champion wearing the new CHAMP Pro Stinger®. The hybrid half metal/half plastic Pro Stinger has become the hottest spike on tour since its introduction last month.
With the victories in the Nissan Open in Los Angeles and The ACE Group Classic in Naples, Fla., Champ now claims three PGA TOUR titles and three Champions Tour wins this young 2006 season to go with one victory on the European Tour.
Last season 24 winners on the PGA TOUR wore CHAMP spikes.
