Golfers keen to hone their skills before a summer on the fairways and greens should look no further than Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Club.
The luxurious four-star complex in Ticehurst, East Sussex, is running a series of two-day residential golf schools until May under the watchful gaze of PGA professional Mark Wood.
The popular sessions led by Wood, the head teaching professional at Dale Hill, will cover all aspects of the game on and off the course and give golfers the chance to fine tune their games in time for the summer season.
Day one will concentrate on long game instruction, video swing analysis, use of fairway woods and short-game work on and around the green, while day two will focus on fairway and greenside bunker play, pitching from inside 100 yards, and more work on long iron play and tee shots.
Off the course, golf psychology and etiquette will also be addressed as part of the extensive package.
The two-day golf school is rounded off with a nine-hole tutorial around Dale Hill’s charming Old Course, again under the watchful gaze of club professional Wood.
David Colyer, the general manager at Dale Hill, said: "Our residential courses are extremely popular, not only because golfers get the chance to work on their games under expert guidance from our resident professional but also because they get to sample our first-class facilities.
"Dale Hill’s two golf courses are well documented and well respected in golfing circles, especially the championship-standard Woosnam course which was designed by the current European Ryder Cup captain after which the course takes its name.
"But slightly less well known are the tremendous off-course facilities we have at Dale Hill, notably our luxurious four-star hotel and our award-winning restaurants.
"I think it’s fair to say that Dale Hill is something of a hidden gem which is waiting to be discovered."
As well as the intensive golf tuition, the two-day residential golf schools include a night’s stay at Dale Hill with breakfast, a champagne reception and three-course dinner on the first night, and full use of the club’s indoor leisure facilities, which include heated swimming pool, sauna and gymnasium.
The two-day golf schools cost £249.
