Golfweek provides exclusive coverage of the team’s visit to the U.S., plus video segments on Golfweek.com

ORLANDO, Fla., (February 22, 2006) -For the first time ever, China has sent a national golf squad, the BMW Junior Team, to the United States for training. Golfweek, golf’s news leader, presents exclusive coverage of the trip in Golfweek magazine and through streaming video on Golfweek.com.

When the China Junior Team, consisting of 22 players age 9 to 17, arrived in Los Angeles, on February 3, Golfweek’s video team was on hand. Golfweek followed the team from the Titleist Test Center in Oceanside, Calif., to the IMG David Leadbetter Academy in Bradenton, Fla., where the players spent 12 days in intense training alongside many of the world’s top junior golfers.

"This trip demonstrates that China is eager to make its mark in the global game of golf and

we are thrilled to be able to provide coverage of this monumental trip, both in print and by video online," said Golfweek Editor Dave Seanor. "This trip provides China’s Junior Team with exposure to the highest levels of instruction in the United States, and affords them the opportunity to see how they measure up to their international peers."

The nine-page Special Report will appear as the cover story in the Feb. 25 issue of Golfweek, enhanced by streaming video on Golfweek.com, available Feb. 22. The video reports highlight the progress of the players and coaches, revealing their personalities and how the experience met with expectations.
