Champion’s Tour standout Tom Jenkins increased his winnings to $5,016,127.71 with Balance-Certified Golf’s Pro-Balance shaft weighting system installed in his putter. He finished T6 at last week’s Ace Group Classic – his second top ten finish with only three events played. He has used Balance-Certified’s system exclusively in his putter since April 2002, racking up four Champions Tour wins, 41 top tens, and 76 top twenty-fives.
Jeff Lindner, Balance-Certified Golf’s (BCG’s) President, noted, "Tom is clearly one of the most consistent performers on the Champions Tour. He is constantly at the top of the leaderboard and is a great spokesman for our technologies." Jenkins added, "Anyone that uses this will see and feel dramatic improvements in their game. With Balance-Certified on board, I sink more putts." He currently plays a T’ville putter designed by Big Oak Putters that has been dynamically tuned using BCG’s proprietary Pro-Balance weighting technology. Jenkins endorses BCG’s products and serves as a Technical Advisor to the company along with PGA veteran Scott Hoch.
In addition, a Champion’s Tour rookie used BCG’s Pro-Balance shaft tuning system to significantly improve his putting statistics last week. Playing in his first Champion’s Tour event at the Turtle Bay Championship in Kahuka, Hawaii, his putting average was 2.056 putts per Green In Regulation (GIR). At the Ace Group Classic one week later in Naples Florida, he improved his putting to 1.694 putts per GIR. The significant improvement occurred after the player was fitted with Balance-Certified Golf’s Pro-Balance system.
Balance-Certified Golf’s Vice President John Cranston personally fit the player during the practice rounds two days before the Ace Group Classic began. "It was interesting to watch because the player experienced an almost instantaneous improvement in putter control. He also observed an improvement in the feel or feedback that the enhanced putter produced when it made contact with the ball," said Cranston. In fact, Cranston actually fit nine players on the Champions Tour with BCG’s Pro-Balance System last week alone.
Lindner continued, "We are extremely pleased with our results on Tour this week. We started our Tour support way back in 1999 with our first shaft weighting system. This year we are off to a fast start and have high expectations. The biggest problem we have is keeping up with players that choose to use our system since several companies are now carrying our products on all of the major Tours. Our products are carried on the tour bags of MacGregor (Bobby Grace), Yes Golf, See More Putters, Pinfire Golf, Big Oak Putters and Ray Cook Golf."
BCG’s former NASA engineering team first pioneered their Pro-Balance shaft tuning system in 1999 and has made it available to Tour players for several years. The Pro-Balance line introduces strategically located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club’s vibration and response characteristics and can be installed in any brand of golf equipment. "We are the first and only company to take golf club dynamics to a scientific level making feel a definable and tunable parameter," said Lindner. In fact, BCG’s technologies were significant enough to earn them top honors at the 2005 PGA Merchandising show. They were awarded the International Network of Golf’s (ING’s) Industry Honors Awards in the Product Ingenuity – Emerging Company category. Balance-Certified joined industry giants like Nike Golf and Taylor Made who won in other categories.
In independent testing by such notables as www.equip2golf.com and PGA Tour Partners, BCG’s systems have been shown to deliver increased ball speed in drivers, increased control of iron play and a tangible benefit in "feel" and distance control of putters. Dubbed the "Best Invention for Serious Golfers," at the 2004 PGA show by noted golf writer James Achenbach of Golfweek, the product has shown a steady rise in consumer acceptance. The company’s dealer network has increased to over 650 retail accounts worldwide. Dealer inquiries are welcome.
