COLUMBIA, MO – GP3 Golf is a new, start-up company based in Columbia, Missouri with one mission, to teach the game of golf the best way possible. The first step toward this mission is the introduction of their patent-pending product: Golf’s Perfect Practice Platform (GP3).
For the first time golfers can simulate the uneven lies they experience on a golf course with this mechanical platform that fully supports the golfer while changing the angle of the practice platform. Because of its design and functionality, the GP3 will deliver the maximum benefit to the user.
"We set out to develop a practice platform that can best simulate the reality a golfer is faced with in a typical round. This GP3 does just that," said, Criag Utlaut, co-founder and 3-handicap, "in 30 minutes a golfer can experience all lies that would occur in a four-hour round."
Utlaut’s co-founder in this endeavor, Jeff Osborne comments on the business-building benefits of this new tool to the golf industry. "We have already generated lots of interest from some of the most respected golf courses and teaching institutes in the country. They see this as a way to provide a much higher level of instruction to their members and students." Its design allows the GP3 to fit into any driving range, indoor or outdoor.
The platform for the GP3 is 58 inches in diameter and supports the largest of adults. More details and ordering instructions can be found on their web site: www.gp3golf.com.
About the founders:
Craig Utlaut is a 3 handicap golfer who grew up on a farm in the Midwest. Golf has always been a passion but one that was tough to keep since he lived 15 miles from a golf course. Growing up on the farm, Utlaut became fascinated with learning how to hit all golf shots. The GP3 has always been a fixture in Craig’s mind and in November of 2005 the GP3 became a reality.
Jeff Osborne is a late bloomer to the golf game and did not take up the challenge of golf until the age 40. Within ten years he turned himself into a 3 handicap golfer. Osborne and Utlaut met in the spring of 96 and have shared their passion for the game of golf by talking many a day about bring a realistic teaching model to the game. When the GP3 was finished, it was time for Jeff to switch careers and walk a new fairway in life.
