LA COSTA, Calif. – March 1, 2006 – Golf Yellow Pages announced today that its closing date has been extended two weeks to March 15, 2006 to provide additional time for listing and advertising processing. The publication had previously announced a change in publishing date from January to April to better coincide with course openings and to collect listing changes from customers and attendees at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show and Golf Industry Show.
"Our strategy of moving the publishing date from January to April was an overwhelming success in terms of collecting changes to our database" said new publisher David Wogahn. "One of our goals was to make sure this industry resource guide had the most up-to-date listings possible. The directory will now have more than 12,000 golf business listings, updates to more than 2,500 of our course listings, and still be delivered to every course in the United States in time for the beginning of the golf season."
Courses and businesses wishing to update or verify their business listing should visit www.GolfYellowPages.com. And companies wishing to place advertisements should contact Golf Yellow Pages advertising offices immediately to reserve space. Businesses wishing to distribute inserts in this year’s mailing should also contact the company as soon as possible.
Founded in 1999, Golf Yellow Pages is North America’s largest, most-complete and most-used golf-industry directory, containing more than 12,000 listings of businesses serving the golf industry and listings to more than 24,000 golf courses. Distributed annually to decision-makers at every golf course in the U.S., as well as other key golf-industry constituencies, the Golf Yellow Pages is a premium information resource and advertising medium for any business that sells products and services to PGA Pros, golf course superintendents, club managers and other golf businesses. The all-new seventh edition will be published and distributed in spring 2006.
