Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. continued its support of the Champions Tour this week, working with several new players at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am at the TPC of Tampa Bay in Lutz, Florida. Balance-Certified Golf’s (BCG’s) Vice President and tour representative John Cranston equipped 15 players with the company’s proprietary technology during the last two weeks alone, yielding four finishers in the top 15 at the Outback Steakhouse event and five finishers in the top 24 the week before at the Ace Group Classic at Twin Eagles Golf Course in Naples, Florida.
The success on Tour comes at a good time for the company since it is initiating a campaign to expand its sales and distribution network. Jeff Lindner, BCG President, said, "We have always believed that success on Tour is critical to company growth. The Tours bring validation to a company’s products. If professional Tour players do not use your products, then your company cannot grow or even survive in the golf equipment industry."
BCG’s Pro-Balanceâ?¢ line introduces strategically located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club’s vibration and response characteristics and can be installed in any brand of golf equipment. "We are the first and only company to take golf club dynamics to a scientific level making ‘feel’ a definable and tunable parameter," said Lindner. BCG’s approach goes way beyond simply bolting a weight to a golf club. BCG designs have been optimized through a proprietary parametric modal analysis technique to modulate the actual shape that the club deforms into when it vibrates. "Simply bolting a weight on a golf club with dumb luck does not achieve the same results," noted Lindner.
Lindner has been leading the research team while Cranston has been bringing the company’s technologies to the Tours since 1999. Both former NASA research and design engineers, their specialty in structural dynamics and composites give them insights into the motion, frequency, and vibrations of golf equipment that is completely new to the golf equipment industry. "We are interested in performance, and enhancing performance," said Lindner. Cranston added, "All I know is that the Tour players sure can feel a difference when using our systems, and they have the checks to prove it."
The company now has more than 630 dealer accounts in 17 countries. They have streamlined the application process by making the dealer application accessible via their website, www.balance-certified.com, and support their dealers with DVD, online support and training, as well as a national presence on Tour. Lindner noted, "What makes our product so attractive to both the small shop or independent teacher is the low buy-in cost for the fitting system and inventory. They can usually recover their initial investment with just a few fittings. Our customer satisfaction runs higher than 90% so we know we are making a difference in the performance of golfers at all levels. And our sell-through is usually measured in weeks or days, not quarters or seasons. Obviously, that is very important in today’s highly competitive marketplace."
Dealer inquiries are welcome.
