Michael P. Beckerich, Publisher of Classics of Golf, today announced that Eric Levin has joined Classics of Golf as Executive Director.
"I am proud to announce that Eric has joined our team at the Classics of Golf," Beckerich said. "Eric is a distinguished writer and editor with experience in national magazines as well as books. He brings a high degree of editorial acumen and visual sophistication to Classics of Golf, and he will be intimately involved in every aspect of our operation."
ERIC LEVIN – BRIEF BIO
A nationally known journalist, Eric Levin was editor of special projects at People from 1995-2001. He founded People Online in 1995, edited dozens of People single-topic issues and commemorative books and launched People’s line of monthly biography books, People Profiles, in 1999 and 2000.
As a writer on golf, Levin has contributed regularly to Travel & Leisure Golf since its inception in 1997. He became a contributing editor in 2001 and a contributing writer at Golf For Women in 2002. His writing on the game has also appeared in Departures and New Jersey Life. For Travel & Leisure Golf Levin has profiled Donald Trump and his son, Don Jr., as well as PGA Tour players Hank Kuehne and Todd Hamilton (both 2005 covers). He wrote the 2004 T&L Golf feature, The 25 Best Golf Books Ever.
Levin’s writing on food and restaurants appears regularly in Food Arts and New Jersey Monthly. One of his Food Arts articles was reprinted in the book "Best Food Writing, 2003," edited by Holly Hughes. An award-winning journalist, Levin is also a fine art photographer whose work has been exhibited at the Montclair (NJ) Art Museum and in a 2006 solo show at Studio Montclair.
