Lee Trevino Added To Roster At 2006 AT&T Classic Tournament

Legendary Golfer Joins One of the Most Competitive Groups to Visit Valencia at 17th Annual Golf Tournament

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (March XX, 2006) – The AT&T Classic today announced the commitment from Lee Trevino, a 29-time winner on the Champions Tour and the first golfer to ever win the U.S. Open, Canadian Open and British Open in the same year, to compete in its 2006 tournament, scheduled March 6-12, 2006, at the acclaimed Valencia Country Club in Santa Clarita. He will start the week playing with George Lopez on Wednesday at the AT&T Classic Pro-Am.

"Lee Trevino is a legend in the golf community," said Brian Fitzgerald, executive director. "His accuracy and consistency in striking the ball catapulted him to fame at an early age, and he continues to remain one of the top golfers in competition. We look forward to hosting an exciting and challenging playing field at the Valencia Country Club this year."

In addition to winning 29 Champions Tour events, Trevino won 29 tournaments while competing on the PGA tour. He has won six major Championships, including the U.S. Open in 1968 and 1971; British Open in 1971 and 1972; and the PGA Championship in1974 and 1984.

Tickets for the AT&T Classic are available for purchase through the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Foundation at 661-253-8082 as well as via the Los Angeles County Junior Golf Foundation at 213-738-2972. Also, the tournament is inviting additional charities and nonprofit organizations to join the "Charity Partners" program, which provides organizations with the opportunity to use the AT&T Classic to generate funds through the sale of tickets and corporate hospitality.
