March 7, 2006

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. March 6, 2006 – For the third consecutive week, the winner on the PGA Tour trusted CHAMP spikes. Facing a stellar field, including nine of the top ten players in the world, he became the first repeat winner at the Ford Championship at Doral in over 20 years.

In addition to the champion, six of the top ten finishers wore CHAMP spikes. In total, 25 players in the field chose CHAMP Stingerâ?¢ spikes, and at least 26 players opted for the new CHAMP Pro Stingerâ?¢ spikes. The Pro Stinger is the new hybrid – half-plastic/half-metal – spike that CHAMP introduced in January. The Pro Stinger offers professional golfers the security of a metal spike with the comfort and many of the course-friendly qualities of non-metal spikes.

With this victory, Champ now owns five PGA TOUR titles and three Champions Tour wins in the 2006 season to go with one victory on the European Tour.

Last season 24 winners on the PGA TOUR wore CHAMP spikes.
