BETHEL, Me. (March 10, 2006) – P3ProSwing, an award-winning, highly accurate yet versatile swing analyzer and instructional aid, was in use at the RE/MAX World Long Drive qualifying event which took place March 4 during the National Golf Expo, Boston, known as New England’s premier consumer golf show. P3ProSwing also was an exhibitor at the Expo, which was held March 3-5 at the Bayside Expo Center in Boston.
"We are proud that P3ProSwing was in use during the RE/MAX World Long Drive qualifying rounds in Boston," said Jay Russo, managing director of P3ProSwing. "P3ProSwing’s value lies in the accuracy and extensive range of swing analysis data it provides." The RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship will be held Oct. 23-28 in Mesquite, Nev.
P3ProSwing recently added launch angle and video capture, including line drawing, to its features, further enhancing its in-depth swing analysis information. The new features, in addition to the swing data already in place, offer players, instructors and clubfitters a more comprehensive understanding of individual swings, leading to greater game improvement. These new features signify a significant swing analysis advancement.
P3ProSwing’s entertainment package also now includes three new competitive features: long drive, closest to the pin and hole in one contests. P3ProSwing, in use by golfers throughout the U.S. and abroad, is enjoyed for its entertainment value as well as for its swing analysis capability.
Recognized for its easy-to-use quality and its design for in-home use, P3ProSwing analyzes swings and provides for simulated rounds using high-tech graphics and sensors. In addition to its home use by golfers, P3ProSwing also is in use by many high-profile golf instructors, now including Mike McGetrick and his teaching staff at the McGetrick Golf Academy in Denver, Colo. McGetrick, the 1999 National PGA Teacher of the Year, has incorporated P3ProSwing into his instructional curriculum, allowing for the provision of immediate data to each student, including such elements as ball and clubhead speed, ball swing path and angle of attack, in addition to the new launch angle and video capture capability.
Touted as the most affordable swing analyzer on the market, P3ProSwing has been lauded at various industry trade and consumer shows across the country and previously earned a "Highly Recommended" rating from Golf Digest magazine, a "Best of Show" mention by Golfweek senior writer James Achenbach at the 2004 PGA Merchandise Show and a 2005 Tech Award from Golf Tips Magazine in the category of Training Aid Innovation. It was featured on the television show "Live with Regis and Kelly" in a segment with avid golfer and celebrity Cheryl Ladd, and on ESPN’s Cold Pizza as the best golf "simulyzer." And it was used on ABC TV’s "Tony Danza Show" Jan. 11, 2006, to record and display data in the John Daly in the "Daly-Danza Open."
P3ProSwing, which can be used at home with a laptop computer and a digital video camera, allows golfers to receive instant feedback with any club and with or without a golf ball. Measurements include club speed, tempo, ball flight, swing plane, club face position (in essence, whether it’s hit the "sweet spot") and distance. Shots may be practiced from any location on the simulated golf course. Computer graphics show the ball’s flight path and actual landing location, whether in the rough, on the fairway or the green. Players may practice on the putting green or the driving range; the advanced golfer may hone in on draws or fades. The system allows up to a foursome to play a round on the Highlands National Golf Course, a 7,393-yard, 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course.
In addition to direct-to-consumer sales from its Web site, the P3ProSwing is sold through major partners including some of the nation’s largest golf retail groups, such as Golfsmith, Pro Golf Discount and Golf Etc. P3Proswing is a subsidiary of Sports Vision Technologies, which develops new advanced technologies in sports.
