HALF MOON BAY, Calif., March 13, 2006 … Half Moon Bay Golf Links has become the latest golf facility to secure one-person golf carts specially designed to allow mobility impaired golfers to enjoy playing its two renowned courses on the Pacific coastline.
With its purchase from SoloRider, the leading maker of single-rider golf carts in the country, Half Moon Bay Golf Links will be able to accommodate guests who are mobility impaired. The special carts are to be available this spring.

The SoloRider — manufactured in Denver, Colo., and individually produced to exact specifications — will be available for use on both the Old Course and the Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay Golf Links. The specially designed carts have supporting rotary seats that enable mobility impaired golfers to enjoy a round of golf. Unlike other carts, they are lighter in weight and can be used on tees, greens and other areas of the course. Reservations for a SoloRider should be made in advance.
Located just 30 miles south of San Francisco along California’s scenic Highway One, this destination was created with the golfer in mind. The 36-hole golf facility consists of the aptly named Ocean Course, a par 72 layout that offers inspiring ocean views from all 18 holes, and the Old Course, which was originally designed by Francis Duane and Arnold Palmer in 1973.
