GPS Industries Continues Growth With GPS & Wi-Fi Systems In South Dakota

Two golf courses in South Dakota will soon offer the advantages of a GPS/Wi-Fi system to players, management and ownership. GPS Industries Inc. (OTCBB: GPSN), an innovator in wireless (Wi-Fi) and GPS technology, is completing the installation of 130 colored hand held Inforemersâ?¢ at two golf courses in Sioux Falls, South Dakota: Elmwood Golf Course and Prairie Green Golf Course.

"We looked at every GPS system, and are excited to be the first in our area to offer this great amenity to our customers" said Tom Jansa, Vice President of Dakota Golf Management, the manager of both courses. "This is a tremendous tool to manage the coursesâ?¦ and we can pay for a great part of the system through GPS Industries’ Guaranteed Advertising Program."

Prairie Green Golf club, rated the #5 Best New Affordable Course by Golf Digest in 1996, and Elmwood Golf Course, a public course in the city of Sioux Falls, chose GPSI’s InforemerTM because of its value, service, technology and the benefits players and management will experience.

"GPSI’s InforemerTM is a powerful tool with advanced features so easy to use that even our most technology-challenged customers will love using it," said Jansa. "We’ll also use the wireless network to connect our maintenance facilities to our existing computer network, and extend our front office management software all over the course. These are huge advantages for us."

GPS Industries’ InforemerTM is one of the company’s communications and management solutions for golf facilities, resorts, sporting events and residential communities. The company has golf installations in the U.S, Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa and China.

"Golf courses around the world are discovering the advantages of a GPS & wireless solution," said GPSI CEO & President Robert Silzer, Sr. "It’s fun and useful for the player, and a powerful course management tool that streamlines operations instantly. And courses love the new revenue streams it creates."

"This is our first installation in South Dakota, and we’re delighted to add the Elmwood and Prairie Green golf courses to our growing list of satisfied customers," said Silzer. "We’re also proud to be associated with Dakota Golf Management."
