SUNLAND, Calif. – Horsepower Golf proudly announces that its tour van will provide state-of-the-art, custom fitting services to the contestants in the Costa Mesa Classic long drive competition, the inaugural tour event for the Long Drive Golf Association (LDGA). Hosted by the Costa Mesa Golf and Country Club, Costa Mesa, Calif., on Saturday, 25 March 2006, the Costa Mesa Classic marks the first time the Horsepower Golf Tour Van will be available to players right on the driving range during a professionally sanctioned long drive competition
As part of the fun at the Costa Mesa Classic, the LDGA will also showcase the ‘Champions for Charity Long Drive Challenge’ — a celebrity long drive exhibition, featuring such notable sports figures and celebrities as John ‘Blue Moon’ Odom, Vince Ferragamo, Leroy Irvin, Clyde Wright, Rich Amaral, Brent Mayne, Jeff Gardner and Reggie Doss. The celebrities are scheduled to tee it up at 11:30 a.m. on March 25th, and the public is invited.

The LDGA identifies the leading long drive specialists through a regular series of monthly tournaments, quarterly major events and an annual championship tournament. All equipment used in LDGA events are conforming equipment as approved by the United States Golf Association (USGA).
