March 21, 2006

Tyler Riggin has been appointed the new Interim Director of Handicapping and Course Ratings. He replaces Doug Sullivan, who was named the Director of Course Ratings for the Southern California Golf Association.

Riggin, a 2004 PJ Boatwright, Jr. intern for the GAP, has been Sullivan’s assistant since the fall of 2005. His intricate knowledge of the position and experience makes him the ideal person for this transition.

Rigging, a 2004 Sports Management graduate of the University of Tennessee, said he is looking forward to this opportunity.

"Although I know you can’t just replace a Doug Sullivan," Riggin said, "I know we’ll continue to offer clubs the top handicap service in the area."

Added Mark Peterson, Executive Director of the Golf Association of Philadelphia, "Since Tyler began with the Association, he has become a valuable team member. His skills and talents are evident, and he has quickly ascended from an intern to the director of a major department of the Association."
