AUSTIN, Texas — ClubmakingFORUM.com announces a new 12-part series of monthly Direct Talk chat events with the Professional Clubmakers’ Society that will allow golfers and clubmakers around the world to talk and question PCS experts and PCS Clubmakers of the Year on clubmaking and custom fitting issues. The first ‘Direct Talk with PCS’ event will feature PCS Executive Technical Director Bob Dodds on March 28th at 3 p.m. (CST).
ClubmakingFORUM is an all-new web site delivering direct communication between component manufacturers and custom clubmakers. Throughout 2006, ClubmakingFORUM will feature regular ‘Direct Talk’ sessions with the engineers and designers from the world’s most respected golf equipment and component manufacturers, as well as with the Professional Clubmakers’ Society.
"There are thousands of golfers who enjoy the craft of custom clubmaking and who crave ever more technical information and discussion on clubheads, shaft, grips and the custom-fitting process. We’re very honored to work with the Professional Clubmakers’ Society," says John Meng, founder of ClubmakingWIRE. "The PCS is a great addition to the line-up of manufacturers and engineers we’re showcasing on ClubmakingFORUM."
The Professional Clubmakers’ Society is a non-profit, international, independent association headquartered in Louisville, Ken. As an independent association, the PCS offers a unique and unbiased structure from which its members may learn about the latest in repair, club assembly and fitting techniques. Founded in 1989, the PCS is owned and governed by its members for its members and is the only independent certifying body for golf club fitting, clubmaking and club repair.
In addition to its unique Direct Talk approach, the ClubmakingFORUM showcases the newest products and technologies, independent product reviews; technical articles on shafts, grips and clubheads, custom-fitting tips and a direct link with ClubmakingWIRE for the latest news in the component industry.
