Volvik Golf Balls today told writers of their success, and that of their customers, in selling state logo Crystal golf balls. Volvik produces a number of state balls and one for Las Vegas. Each of the various balls is packaged in an attractive clean white box imprinted with the appropriate logo and state name.
What sets the program apart from anything before it is the rapid climb in sell through. Glen Coombe, who covers the Carolinas for FLGolf, Inc/Volvik said, "I started a test market at my home club, The Links at Lakewood in Sumter SC, with the South Carolina logo ball. I encouraged Scott Letien, PGA the course owner, to open up the ball and sell it along side his regular course logo ball. On Hilton Head Island we have off course retailers selling SC logo balls for as much as $3 per single ball. So strong was the demand for the SC logo ball that we sold out of our inventory and will just finally replenish April 1st. I tell all my customers to just sell the ball at the same price as your course logo ball and watch what happens."
State logo balls from Volvik are available for, South Carolina, Texas, California, New York and Virginia, and Florida in Crystal white and Florida Crystal orange. The Las Vegas logo ball has been popular outside of Las Vegas for clubs holding Las Vegas nights. At FLGolf, Inc., Delphia Womer said, "What happens in Vegas sometimes does get out of Vegas!"
