Orlando, Florida – March 29, 2006 – Marriott Golf, the world’s largest resort golf management company, today announced that Brett Meabon has been promoted to Director of Golf at Shadow Ridge Golf Club, Palm Desert, California.
Meabon, who has spent the past 4 years as Head Golf Professional at Shadow Ridge, the first Nick Faldo designed course in the United States, will now serve as the Director of Golf and will be responsible for overseeing all golf shop operations, retail merchandising, instruction, outings and tournament coordination.
Meabon has been a member of the Marriott team since 1999, when he started as Assistant Golf Professional at Stone Mountain Golf Club in Stone Mountain, GA. During his three years at Stone Mountain, Meabon was promoted through the ranks having served as Golf Shop Supervisor and Tournament Coordinator/Associate Golf Professional, which was his first management role.
