Balance-Certified Golf, Inc. secured a win on the Canadian Tour over the weekend at the Northern California Classic held at Brookside Country Club in Stockton, California. The win on the Canadian Tour is Balance-Certified’s second win during the last three weeks. The earlier win came on the European Tour at The Singapore Masters. On the PGA Tour at The Players Championship last week three players that finished in the top 16 also put Balance-Certified Golf’s (BCG’s) proprietary Pro-Balanceâ?¢ shaft weighting system into play. Each player used a putter that was specifically optimized and tuned to match his individual putting stroke characteristics with BCG’s weighting system.
BCG’s President Jeff Lindner said, "More and more Tour players are requesting our products from one week to the next. As a result, we have significantly stepped up our Tour presence at every level this year. We have always believed that Tour presence is extremely important. This has been true since we began our Tour support efforts back in 1999 with our first prototype Pro-Balanceâ?¢ shaft weighting system." BCG products are currently carried on the Tour bags of several golf club manufacturers and in several Tour support vans as well.
The winner of the Canadian Tour event was using a MacGregor M-1 putter designed by Bobby Grace. Once the player was fitted for putter length, lie, loft, and head weight, BCG’s Pro-Balanceâ?¢ shaft weighting system was used to fit the inertial properties or "balance" of the putter to the player through a proprietary process called Motion Balancing. John Cranston, Balance-Certified’s Vice President, added, "Recently, we have had very good results combining our weighting system with Bobby’s putter head designs. The adjustable weight feature of his heads allows our fitters to better tune a putter to a player’s particular swing characteristics."
BCG’s Pro-Balanceâ?¢ line introduces strategically located weights that can be used to adjust a golf club’s vibration and response characteristics and can be installed in any brand of golf equipment. "We are the first and only company to take golf club dynamics to a scientific level making ‘feel’ a definable and tunable parameter," said Lindner. BCG’s approach goes far beyond simply bolting a weight to a golf club. BCG designs have been optimized through a proprietary parametric modal analysis technique to modulate the actual shape that the club deforms into when it vibrates. "Simply bolting a weight on a golf club with dumb luck does not achieve the same results," noted Lindner.
In independent testing by such notables as www.equip2golf.com and PGA Tour Partners, BCG’s systems have been shown to deliver increased ball speed in drivers, increased control of iron play and a tangible benefit in "feel" and distance control of putters. Dubbed the "Best Invention for Serious Golfers" at the 2004 PGA show by noted golf writer James Achenbach of Golfweek, the product has shown a steady rise in consumer acceptance. The company’s dealer network has increased to over 650 retail accounts worldwide. Dealer inquiries are welcome.
