Denver, CO— The research department at F2 Golf listened to the golfers who play their wedges and gave them what they wanted.
"Over 95% percent of the golfers who try the F2 wedges fall absolutely in love with them," said Jeff Peterman, owner and designer of F2 Golf. Peterman, a teaching professional at Painted Desert Golf Club in Las Vegas, spends hours giving clinics and demonstrations around the country connecting with grassroots golfers and getting valuable feedback about his products.
"We listen carefully to our customers and we have been getting a number of requests for a stronger lob wedge with a little more bounce to help players get out of softer sand." explained Peterman. "The 58-degree wedge has been designed with 14-degrees of bounce, a 15 percent larger club face, and has a larger sweet spot than a conventional wedge. This wedge is easier to hit out of the sand and the high rough as well as those tight lies around the green."
F2 Golf manufactures a 52°, 56°, 60° and the new 58° model. The wedges are designed with the company’s unique face forward technology. The hosel is placed 3/4 up the clubface which is forward of the shaft. This patented design makes the club head move through grass with less resistance, keeps the grass from grabbling the hosel and forcing shots offline. In sand, the F2 wedge places the hands in the correct forward position at impact which allows golfers to hit flop shots just like the pros. These features, coupled with the subtle changes made when creating this new wedge, make the 58 degree the perfect complement to any set.
"Our customers have enjoyed the benefits of Face Forward technology for over a year, "said Peterman "F2 wedges are unconventional looking, and sometimes – as we’ve seen with innovations in the past – technology isn’t always pretty. If the product performs, people buy it. F2 wedges lower scores and our growing sales tell the real story."
