VISTA, CA – March 30, 2006 – La Jolla Club Golf Company, the leading designer and producer of innovative golf equipment for juniors, today announced today that it is participating in three Play Golf America events being run by the Tennessee PGA section.

The Tennessee PGA section is having three Play Golf America events throughout the state. These are free, fun events designed for golfers of all abilities. The first 200 juniors to attend each event will receive a free La Jolla Club junior golf club. The First Tee will provide instruction for all of the junior clinics.
During the day, PGA Professionals will be on site providing free instruction. Golf manufacturers will also be on site to allow participants to try the latest golf equipment. Participants can bring their old sets of clubs and trade them in for credit in the golf shop for a new set of clubs.
The first Play Golf America event will take place on April 8, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Hermitage Golf Course in Nashville, TN. This will be followed by an event on April 29, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Fairways & Greens Golf Course in Knoxville, TN. The final event will take place on May 6, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Cherokee Valley Golf Course in Memphis, TN.
In 2004, The PGA of America launched a comprehensive package of growth of the game programs under the banner of Play Golf America , which focuses on adult player development. This initiative is supported by the industry’s Allied organizations – the PGA Tour, LPGA, USGA, and NCGOA – which participate in the annual Golf 20/20 Conference.
Play Golf America, designed to increase participation among new and occasional adult golfers, was developed by The PGA of America, with the support of Allied Associations including: the LPGA, National Golf Course Owners Association, PGA Tour, USGA and others involved in the annual Golf 20/20 Conference.
