The Coeur d'Alene Resort Course Opens 15th Season With Special Stay-and-play Package Through April

COEUR D’ALENE, ID, April 1, 2006 â?¦ When it comes to finding the most enjoyable places to play, golfers are no fools — which is appropriate, since April Fools Day also happens to be Opening Day at the award-winning Coeur d’Alene Resort Course.
Turning 15 this year, The Resort Course continues to be one of the most critically acclaimed courses in the Northwest. Not only has Coeur d’Alene been honored as a Gold Medal Resort by GOLF Magazine – one of only 25 in the nation – it is rated the No. 1 public-access course in Idaho by Golfweek magazine, has earned the Diamond Award from Luxury Golf & Travel, and boasts one of the Top 100 Golf Shops, as ranked by Golf World Business.
And to help golfers get an early jump on the season, The Coeur d’Alene Resort has a stay-and-play package that starts at $129 and includes a round of golf and accommodations for two (double occupancy). The package is available through April, based on availability.
"It’s our goal to provide each of our guests with an excellent golf experience, as well as the highest qualify and latest design in golf equipment and apparel," said Bob Nuttelman, Director of Golf at The Resort Course.
The Resort is nearing completion of more than $20 million in renovations, from a completely new spa to redesigned rooms, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. The Resort opened on June 1, 1986.
The legacy of perfection was magnified when the Scott Miller-designed Resort Course opened in 1991. Players have the option to walk the fairways with a personal caddie — except at the famed par-3 14th hole, which features the world-famous mobile "floating green." There, the walk turns into a short ride — in "Putter," the little boat that takes groups to and from Coeur d’Alene’s signature hole, built atop a pontoon structure.
Ranging from 6,735 to 4,448 yards, The Resort Course is challenging, yet accommodates golfers of all ages and skills with its five sets of tees.
