Redmond, WA—Bite, the company that stood the golf world on its heels when they first hit the market with alternative golf footwear and sandals in 1997, has reunited with Golf Marketing Services to handle their public relations and 10th anniversary campaign.
"Bite has successfully expanded its product line into the outdoor industry over the past few years," said Bite Founder, Dale Bathum, "now we are re-intensifying our efforts in golf. The company will launch its 10th anniversary campaign later this year and we look forwarded to Golf Marketing Services creating the buzz around this milestone as they did when we launched the company a decade ago."
GMS helped put Bite on the golf map with such efforts as the "Great Shoe Swap" at the 1998 PGA Fall Merchandise Show in Las Vegas. Attendees were invited to swap their shoes for a comfortable pair of Bite shoes. Hundreds of pairs of Hush Puppies, Nike, Foot-joy, Gucci and other popular brands were piled high in Bite’s booth. Bite’s unique looking shoes were visible throughout the Show as attendees and the media walked the convention floor. The "swapped" shoes were later donated to a local charity. The promotion was a huge success and Bite gained the acceptance of buyers who were smiling with pain free feet by the end of the Show.
