One-Hour Special Premieres Sunday, April 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (April 10, 2006) – FINE LIVING TV NETWORK will debut a new installment of the America’s Dream 18 series of specials shot in high definition for the first time when Chad Maulsby hosts America’s Dream 18: Las Vegas, premiering Sunday, April 16 at 8 pm ET/PT.
While earlier editions of America’s Dream 18 featured a variety of national gems or specific Hawaii and Arnold Palmer course designs, America’s Dream 18: Las Vegas will turn the spotlight of the "city that never sleeps" away from the world class casinos and superb entertainment onto one of the region’s most spectacular outdoor attractions.
To golfers, Las Vegas is a unique area of the country that symbolizes one of America’s greatest concentrations of desert golf, nestled around the most exciting city in the world. Maulsby, also host of FINE LIVING’s The Wandering Golfer series, will take viewers on a visually dramatic high-definition tour of the "dream" 18-hole layout selected from a variety of top-rated public courses in Las Vegas.
A select group of the PGA’s most notable golfers, including Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Peter Dye, Tom Weiskopf, Arnold Palmer and Rees Jones have left their mark on these courses. Some of the featured holes are just a stone’s throw from the world famous Las Vegas strip, while others skirt the edge of town, or can be found within a day’s journey of the city.
As with previous editions of America’s Dream 18, the Las Vegas special will highlight course architecture, in addition to exploring what makes a golf journey to Las Vegas one of a kind. Viewers will take part in some unique 19th hole experiences, get a golf tip from local and world-renowned golf instructor Butch Harmon, and check out what is making a buzz on the strip.
