National LPGA sponsor invites high school females to compete for a chance to play in the national competition on May 13
JOPPA, MD (April 11, 2006) – Calling all High School female golfers! The McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Greater Baltimore and CBS Radio is giving you a once in a lifetime opportunity to play with the pros as it kicks off its first annual McDonald’s LPGA Championship Pro-Am Contest on Saturday, May 13, 2006 from 8 a.m. -11 a.m. at the Mountain Branch Golf Course in Joppa, MD.
One female high school student from the Greater Baltimore area will be selected to play alongside 150 of the top women’s golfers at the McDonald’s LPGA Championship Pro-Am Tournament on June 5 and June 6, 2006.
Contestants will be judged in 5 five areas, including longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin, chipping, and putting to come up with their overall personal best score. The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the contest at Mountain Branch Golf Course.
Applications for the McDonald’s LPGA Championship Pro-Am Contest can be obtained by visiting www.mix1065.fm, www.espn1300.com and www.mcdslpga.org, or by calling 443.573.2326. The deadline for submission is Monday, May 8, 2006. Contestants must submit entry form by May 8 to participate in the contest.
