ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – (April 18, 2006) – Deadline for current pricing for the 16th Annual ING Spring Conference May 21-25 in the Sandhills of North Carolina, is today, Tuesday, April 18. Entries not postmarked or faxed by today will face a steep increase in conference pricing.
The ING Spring Conference is scheduled for May 21-25 in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen, N.C. area. The International Network Of Golf, a 16-year-old non-profit, media-based networking organization whose mission is to bring together members of the media and business communities to enhance communication in golf, conducts the conference, which is expected to attract over 250 people.
ING is open to anyone in the golf industry or media.
The main hotel for the 16th Annual ING Spring Conference, the Comfort Inn of Pinehurst, has recently been totally renovated, and has been upgraded in many areas, delivering a hotel experience that rises well above what one might expect from the Comfort Inn brand.
The Comfort Inn renovation includes new carpet, bedspreads and drapes in every room, and a very inviting pub – Putter’s Lounge -, which was built on the ground floor for those late night networking opportunities. More good news: The Comfort Inn is situated at the back gate of headquarters for ING’s nighttime activities, The National Golf Club.
Other ING accommodation opportunities include the Country Club of Whispering Pines and the National Golf Club Villas. Many of the villas at Country Club of Whispering Pines have been refurbished, and are located next door to the beautiful new clubhouse and conference center, which will host all the ING Spring Conference morning activities, including the One-On-One Appointment Show, educational seminars and breakfasts. Also, the two Ellis Maples-designed golf courses will host three of the five golf outings.
The National Golf Club serves as headquarters for the ING Spring Conference. Conference registration, the Sunday Kickoff Golf event, the ING Demo Lab and all nightly functions will be hosted at this private club, which features some of the most beautiful grounds in all of the Sandhills, and a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.
The other golf event, the International Pairs World Finals Qualifier, will be conducted on Wednesday May 24 at one of the region’s most famous golf courses, Tobacco Road. Winners from this two-player team net points event will represent the USA and ING in the International Pairs World Finals Aug. 9-12 at Celtic Manor in Wales. Tobacco Road is a Mike Strantz design that is nationally ranked and extremely challenging.
