Sonartec Md hybrid plays key roll in victory
Carlsbad, California – April 16, 2006; The petite and powerful LPGA professional shook off a closely-contended loss at the Kraft Nabisco and then opened the Takefuji Classic with a 9-under-par 63 en route to a wire-to-wire victory in which she set or tied 9 season scoring records. The champion relied on the Sonartec 21-degree Md hybrid time after time during the week when she required the legendary Sonartec ball flight, long and soft. The champion used the Sonartec hybrid for her crucial second shot on the 495-yard 18th hole over water to birdie the last hole and seal the win. "She is such a wonderful young lady who is playing the best golf of her short career, we are just happy to be able to part of it," said Toru Kamatari, President of Sonartec.
The company recently added Liz Uthoff, of The Big Break III fame, to the company’s staff as the LPGA Tour representative. "We felt that we would have an impact with the ladies, both in hybrid clubs and our new LS-99 women’s model over the course of the season. This early success is very satisfying," said Bob Gotfredson, Sonartec Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
The company is also quite excited to have 35 players wearing the new Trion:Z negative ion/magnet bracelet that has caught fire on all professional tours. Trion:Z is a sister company to Sonartec; for more information go to www.trionz.com.
