Golf Courses To Profit From Wi-Fi Innovation
Vancouver, BC – April 20, 2006 — GPS Industries Inc. (GPSI) today announced the latest enhancement to their INFOREMERTM GPS Golf Management system; it is called InforezoneTM.
InforezoneTM enables any golf course operator, or golf community developer, to become a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) and generate revenue from access fees to their own wireless hot spot.
"The size of the hot spot is virtually limitless" says Peter Lesyk, Vice President of Wireless Solutions at GPSI. "A stand-alone golf course generally covers at least 140 acres but some of the real estate developers we’re working with have projects of more than 1,000 acres. InforezoneTM is fully capable of covering all that."
GPSI’s InforezoneTM innovation is a comprehensive turn-key program which includes network design and deployment, customer-branding, web site hosting, network monitoring, customizable access rate plans, full payment processing, even 24/7 support.
"Because our InforemerTM GPS system uses Wi-Fi as the communications vehicle, we’re able to easily add InforezoneTM to the range of management and marketing tools already in the InforemerTM package," says Lesyk. "The obvious benefit to the golf course operator, or community developer, is a brand new and lucrative revenue stream. The bottom line potential for them is enormous."
