SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS — Golf equipment manufacturers Alpha, Ashton and SMT have joined the list of tournament sponsors for the upcoming RE/MAX of Texas Shoot-Out, Long Drivers of America (LDA) has announced.
The $60,000 professional long drive event takes place May 4-6 at Hank Haney’s City Pointe Driving Range in Dallas.
RE/MAX of Texas, a statewide association of leading commercial and residential real estate professionals, recently assumed title sponsorship for the Dallas tournament, which features the longest hitters in golf. Several past and present RE/MAX world champions, including four-time champion Jason Zuback, and LDA Hall of Famers Bobby Wilson, Mike Gorton and Scott DeCandia, will compete.
Denver-based RE/MAX International is title sponsor for the annual RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, the premier event in power golf, which Southlake-based LDA produces and manages.

The finals of LDA’s RE/MAX of Texas Shoot-Out are scheduled for noon on Saturday, May 6. Qualifying rounds in the senior and open divisions take place on Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5.
The Saturday finals will be a featured segment during Golfweek’s Golfest Dallas, scheduled for May 6-7. Golfest Dallas offers golf fans the chance to get a first-hand look at the hottest trends in golf equipment, apparel and instruction.
