ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – (April 25, 2006) – TaylorMade-adidas Golf, Visit Wales Tourism and American Ironwoods are among the major sponsors for the 16th Annual ING Spring Conference, set for May 21-25 in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen, N.C. area.
The International Network Of Golf, a 16-year-old non-profit, media-based networking organization whose mission is to bring together members of the media and business communities to enhance communication in golf, conducts the conference, which is expected to attract approximately 250 people.

TaylorMade will display its state of the art technology for club design and fitting during a media-only session. Attendees will have the opportunity experience portions of the TaylorMade fitting process during this session the practice range.
Representatives from Wales, host to the 2010 Ryder Cup Matches at Celtic Manor, will update attendees on new aspects of golf tourism in Wales, and will provide details for upcoming events there involving ING – specifically the International Pairs World Finals and the grand prize for the Great ING Word Puzzle contest.
American Ironwoods is a new company that is launching unique golf equipment that will be featured in the Sunday Kickoff Challenge, the Demo Lab and a press conference.
ING accommodation opportunities include the Country Club of Whispering Pines Villas, the recently renovated Comfort Inn, and the National Golf Club Villas. Many of the villas at Country Club of Whispering Pines have been refurbished, and are located next door to the beautiful new clubhouse and conference center, which will host all the ING Spring Conference morning activities, including the One-On-One Appointment Show, educational seminars and breakfasts. Also, the two Ellis Maples-designed golf courses will host three of the five golf outings.
The National Golf Club serves as headquarters for the ING Spring Conference. Conference registration, the ING Demo Lab and all nightly functions will be hosted at this private club, which features some of the most beautiful grounds in all of the Sandhills, and a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.
The other golf event, the International Pairs World Finals Qualifier, will be conducted on Wednesday May 24 at one of the region’s most famous golf courses, Tobacco Road. Winners from this two-player team net points event will represent the USA and ING in the International Pairs World Finals Aug. 9-12 at Celtic Manor in Wales. Tobacco Road is a Mike Strantz design that is nationally ranked and extremely challenging.
