New ecommerce component to golf course web sites provides green grass pro shops an online store with expanded inventory.
ATLANTA, GA – G1 ProShop, an ecommerce company based in Atlanta, has developed a golf platform that allows individual golf pro shops to add an ecommerce component to their web site. This "online store" retains the look and design of the current golf course or club web site. This allows green grass pro shops the opportunity to have virtual inventory to more products, more categories and provide better service to their members and customers.
"Ecommerce is becoming more and more acceptable as a retail outlet," said Andy Beskin, president. "Our software allows the golf course pro shop to compete in the retail marketplace and offer better customer service to their members and customers."
The golf course pro shop online store gives the members and customers immediate access to current inventory. The "custom store" component of the online store allows the pro shop to offer expanded inventory from their preferred vendors and equipment manufacturers. In addition to club merchandise and preferred vendors stock, G1 ProShop gives the golf course pro shop the opportunity to offer golf merchandise and equipment that may not be in their current inventory, giving the pro shop and their customers a wide selection of all things golf.
"This gives pro shops the opportunity to expand their retail inventory allowing them to compete effectively with large retailers and other golf ecommerce web sites," said Jim Justice, senior vice president of sales. "In essence, customers and club members are able to purchase ‘virtually’ anything they want or need at Internet pricing through the pro shop’s online store."
"Golf courses have an obligation to their customers to make their golf shop merchandise available at their customers convenience," says Jeff Dotson, director of golf at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst. "Our online store gives our members the ability to shop online and order merchandise from our pro shop at any time of day. Basically, we are providing exceptional customer service and expanded opportunities for our members. Also, the ‘custom store’ component allows me to remain loyal to my preferred vendors while offering our members more choices."
G1 ProShop is the manager and facilitator of the ecommerce program. They work directly with vendors, manufacturers and golf course pro shops. The software, while extremely sophisticated, is very simple to manage. G1 ProShop software allows for the individual pro shop to load their current merchandise online through a simple process. In addition, golf equipment and apparel manufacturers have the same ability to upload their inventory on a general site available to all pro shops.
The software is very secure and allows for personalization of inventory from both the pro shop and manufacturer. Both pro shop personnel and manufacturers have a secure management portal to administer their inventory and web site. G1 ProShop facilitates the orders and pays out to the vendor, manufacturer and to the pro shop – just as if the pro shop made the sale. G1 ProShop offers software training and support services.
Established in August 2005, G1 ProShop currently has several pro shops online. In addition, they have established relationships with numerous manufacturers and vendors, including Mizuno, Divots, Bridgestone, Fairway & Greene, Bushnell and others, providing them online access to their pro shop partners.
