Golfweek’s Golfest Premieres At The Commerce Bank Championship

Golfweek’s Golfest Long Island is an Official Event, June 24 – 25, 2006

Orlando, Fla., (April 26, 2006) – The Commerce Bank Championship is pleased to announce that Golfweek’s Golfest Long Island is an official event of the Championship which will be played the week of June 19-25, 2006 at the Red Course at Eisenhower Park in Nassau County.

As part of this year’s fan-friendly enhancements, admission to Golfest Long Island will be included as part of admission into the Championship on June 24-25. Daily tickets for the Commerce Bank Championship are available for $20 in advance or $25 at the gate. Tickets are also available by calling 516-674-GOLF.

The week-long Commerce Bank Championship, the only Champions Tour event in New York, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Many of the greatest golfers to ever play the game have competed in the tournament. These include: Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Raymond Floyd, Craig Stadler and Hale Irwin among others. At Golfweek’s Golfest Long Island — the largest consumer golf festival event and outdoor demo day in the United States — consumers will be able to try and buy the latest and greatest golf equipment while enjoying clinics, golf entertainment and contests.
