Oswego, IL – In recent "Hands-On" player testing, administered nationally by Golfing Magazine (formerly Pub Links Golfer Magazine), SMT Golf’s Avocet Hybrid was presented with the prestigious Players’ Choice Award for receiving the Highest Reader’s Rating in one of the five categories.
In this program, hybrids are submitted by the manufacturers and tested by amateur golfers all over the country under the supervision of a PGA Professional. The testing was administered to golfers of varied skill levels in order to give a better representation of how all golfersâ?¦not just the pros, hit these clubs. Each hybrid is then ranked in several categories: Appearance, Forgiveness, Consistency, Distance, and Value and then given an Overall Performance Rating based on these cumulative scores. SMT’s Avocet Hybrid ranked #1 against nineteen other hybrids that were tested including TaylorMade’s Rescue Dual, Nike’s Slingshot, Callaway’s Big Bertha Heavenwood, and Mizuno’s FliHi.
