COEUR D’ALENE, ID, April 28, 2006 â?¦ Golfers are constantly putting themselves on the "hot seat" when they play The Coeur d’Alene Resort Course – thanks to the adjustable cushion heating system that is part of the new fleet of customized golf carts making their debut this spring at the award-winning golf destination.
"We have featured heated seats in our golf carts for several years and find that our guests always appreciate that feature," said Bob Nuttelman, Director of Golf at The Resort Course. "But that is only part of a package that gives us the most impressive fleet of golf carts in the industry."
Created exclusively for The Coeur d’Alene Resort by Western Golf Car, the new fleet is made for golfers to ride in style – from the 13-inch chrome alloy wheels up to the tinted windshield — a suitable complement to one of the most meticulously maintained golf courses in the world. Each of the Western Model 400 hardtops is equipped with more than comfortable seats:
The Resort is nearing completion of a $20 million renovation project that includes the new Spa Coeur d’Alene, Beverly’s 5-Star Restaurant, completely remodeled guest rooms in the 18-story tower, and a redesigned conference center.
"You might say that we have even ‘remodeled’ our fleet of golf carts," Nuttelman said.
The Resort Course, which is open from spring through fall, has been a focal point for the premier luxury destination in the Northwest. The 6,735-yard, par-71 Scott Miller design that opened in 1991 continues to earn distinctive honors, ranked by Golfweek magazine as the No. 1 public access course in Idaho.
The Coeur d’Alene Resort, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, again has earned the Gold Medal Resort award — one of only 25 in the United States — from GOLF Magazine. Also, the Resort Course is on the list of Top 100 Golf Shops in America, as ranked by Golf World Business magazine.
A member of the family of Preferred Hotels, The Resort is 31 miles East of Spokane, Wash., and 100 miles south of the Canadian border. For more details about The Coeur d’Alene Resort, call (800) 365-8338 or visit www.cdaresort.com.
