Srixon Z-UR Golf Ball Collects Win and a Third Place on Japan Tours
ATLANTA – May 1, 2006 Srixon Staff Professional Karrie Webb tied for second place at Ginn Clubs and Resorts Open at Reunion Resort & Club in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, April 30, 2006. Webb finished the inaugural event at 10-under par, 278 total (75-67-69-67) with the help of the Srixon Z-UR prototype golf ball, Srixon forged irons, and Srixon’s W-506 Driver. Webb, who moved up two spots to 2nd place on the ADT Official Money List has a win and two 2nd place finishes in three consecutive tournaments she has played. In November of 2005, Webb was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Over in Japan, Srixon Staff Professional Ryoken Kawagishi played with the Srixon Z-UR golf ball to come in third place on the Japan Golf Tour’s The Crowns tournament at Nagoya Golf Club, Wago Course. Kawagishi shot 11-under par, 269 total (70-69-67-63) for his first Top 10 of the season.
Srixon Staff Professional Mie Nakata won the JLPGA’s Katokichi Quiens tournament on Sunday by shooting a 10-under par to beat her nearest competitor by seven strokes. Nakata played with the Srixon Z-UR golf ball.
