BOLINGBROOK, Ill., May 2, 2006 – The Arthur Hills-designed Bolingbrook Golf Club, an 18-hole, championship course located in Chicago’s southwest suburbs, recently earned recognition from the readers of Golf Digest. The club earned four-and-a-half out of five stars in the latest edition of the publication’s popular "Best Places to Play." The annual guide comprises ratings and comments by 20,000-plus avid golfers on more than 6,500 public and resort courses throughout North America, Bermuda and the Caribbean.
In the seventh edition of "Best Places to Play," Golf Digest readers described Bolingbrook Golf Club, which opened in 2002, as "one of the premier courses in Chicagoland" and "fun to play" in addition to "nice to walk" and "tough, but fair." The extensive practice facility was also labeled as "fabulous."
"We are thrilled about this national recognition," said Terry Hanley, KemperSports’ general manager at Bolingbrook Golf Club. "It speaks highly of the facility’s operation overall and the dedication of our staff members. We will continue in our efforts to provide a memorable experience on and off the course."
"Best Places to Play" will go on sale to the public May 16. For more information, visit http://www.golfdigest.com.
