Tail Campaign Targets Women

May 3, 2006

Tail is turning heads—with the Tail Tech line of fashion-forward performance golf wear, and the stylish Tail line of golf-inspired resort wear. Tail launches new campaign "Empowering Women" and sponsors 6 golfers from the LPGA Tour, Futures Tour and celebrity pro Karen Palacios-Jansen.

Tail is a privately held company started 31 years ago by Cheryl Singer and Andy Varat. The company started when Cheryl designed a jean tennis skirt at a time when everyone only wore white. Fast forward to today and Cheryl, still designing and taking much of her inspiration from the big fashion houses, also has help – the next generation. Cheryl’s son Brad and his cousin Andrea are pushing the company to do and be more and it is paying off.

The Tail Tech line was the rage and a much talked about apparel line at the PGA show this year. They have sourced the globe to bring the consumer the best performance fabrics and stylish looks that fit and feel amazing. It does not stop there they are gaining exposure by truly empowering women. Through requests for the apparel line and their marketing efforts people are really noticing and enjoying what they see and feel. The feeling and spirit of what they are doing resonates when you see their campaign in the May/June Golf for Women.

Tail implemented a campaign this year entitled "Empowering Women". With the new fashion and performance lines and great reviews Tail is putting the apparel to the test with the "Tail Team". Tail is sponsoring 6 women from the LPGA (Cindy Rarick, Kim Saiki and Angela Jerman) and the Futures Tour (Tiffany Faucette and Ashley Hoagland) and celebrity pro golfer Karen Palacios-Jansen. All of these women can be seen on and off the course in fabulous Tail apparel. www.tailinc.com – click on Tail Team

Atlanta’s hometown favorite Angela Jerman bore eloquent witness to the growing power of the golf apparel market at her clinic in April 2006 at the PGA Tour Superstore in Duluth, Georgia. When asked what was "hot" on the LPGA, her response was: "Fashion. Everyone is talking about fashion, and what people are wearing. I get lots of comments on Tail—people really love the brand".

To top it all off, when NBC’s hit TV show Las Vegas recently had an episode calling for women golfers, the producers’ choice of wardrobe was obvious: Tail. "More and more, we are receiving requests from celebrities and magazines to send them outfits for shows and editorial. We are excited and happy to do so—it just validates that people like what we are designing." says Brad Singer.
