Ashworth Europe has become the Official Apparel partner of the PGA of Portugal.
Ashworth Europe has signed an agreement with the PGA of Portugal to become the national body’s Official Apparel partner. Ashworth has long been associated with prestigious venues and events all over the world, however this is the first time that the company has entered into an agreement with a Country PGA in Europe.
As Official Apparel partner, Ashworth will become one of the most prominent company’s at this year’s tournaments via on-course advertising, inclusion in all related TV coverage as well as having continual brand presence in all PGA of Portugal media. This entitlement includes; logo and branding on all PGA of Portugal correspondence; advertorials and advertising in the leading Portuguese golf publication A BOLA and; brand exposure on www.pgaportugal.com.

As well as being a featured brand on www.pgaportugal.com, Ashworth Europe will also develop and offer a specific range of branded PGA of Portugal clothing, which will be available to all PGA members.
David Silva, President of the PGA of Portugal was instrumental in securing Ashworth’s involvement and is confident that the brand will benefit from this unique partnership, "By supporting our professional game, Ashworth has positioned itself at the heart of golf in Portugal and I am confident that Ashworth will very soon become recognised as ‘the’ apparel brand in Portugal."
As part of this agreement, Ashworth has retained the right to extend the initial one year contract for a further period of 3 years, to 2009.
