Texas Indoor Golf – First of its Kind State of the Art Golf Facility – Announces Grand Opening – May 6, 2006

Texas Indoor Golf, a 24,000 square foot revolutionary concept in indoor golf practice, instruction and entertainment, has scheduled its grand opening for May 6, 2006. The multi-million dollar technologically advanced instruction center is located just north of DFW Airport at 2040 State Highway 121 North Grapevine, Texas 76051 opposite Grapevine Mills and Bass Pro Shops. Texas Indoor Golf will be open to the public with no membership fees and welcomes all PGA professionals to provide instruction to golf students from beginner to touring professional. To encourage its use for teaching, Texas Indoor Golf will not deduct any charges from lesson fees and has implemented special referral programs and discounts for PGA professionals.

NTPGA Executive Director Darrell Crall stated, "The Northern Texas PGA extends an enthusiastic welcome to Texas Indoor Golf. This state-of-the-art facility will undoubtedly be a center of activity for our PGA professional and junior golf customers along with the general golf public."

Executive Director/General Manager Jim Buchanan stated, "We are especially pleased to add long-time PGA professional golf industry veterans Marc Brooks and Ron Nash as part of our senior management team. Marc and Ron are truly dedicated to promoting the game of golf and serving as liaisons to the PGA professional golf community."

Texas Indoor Golf facilities include:

  • 8 golf course simulator bays featuring proprietary launch monitor data, teeing systems and 57 premier golf courses from around the world including Pebble Beach Golf Links and St. Andrew’s Old Course;
  • 8 high-tech instruction/practice bays (one ambidextrous) equipped with

    – Two high speed color cameras (side-by-side synchronized face on and down the line views)

    – Studio quality lighting

    – Live view floor monitor for instant instructional feedback

    – Professional instructor swing analysis on-screen tools

    – Complete proprietary launch monitor and performance data

    – Balance and weight transfer analysis

    – Full complement golf course simulator containing 57 premier golf courses

    – Automatic computer-controlled teeing and ball return system;

  • Ultra high-tech ambidextrous club fitting bay, including golf course simulator, teeing machine, proprietary launch monitor and other vendor launch monitors;
  • Fully equipped workshop for professional club building and repair ;
  • 3,500 square foot retail golf shop offering pro-line equipment, soft goods and golf course simulator-equipped club trial bay;
  • Two 7.5’x10′ TV screens overlooking a large and open atrium area;
  • Spacious conference room with big-screen HDTV and audio/visual equipment for meetings, seminars and parties;
  • Free WiFi Internet access throughout the entire building;
  • Food and beverage service with 50-person dining deck and additional seating at each bay; and,
  • 1,800 square foot professional-grade putting green also equipped for video analysis and instruction.
